This song is dedicated to the people who took part in the Stokes Croft "No Tesco" riots.
I don't believe for a second that the supposed 96% of people who are exclaiming "TesNO!" can all afford to exclusively shop at Better Foods.
I'm sure you leave your righteous double standards at home whilst doing the weekly shop at the Tesco superstore in Eastville, bet you drop in to Ikea too afterwards.
lyrics
I wish every shop was a Tesco on Stokes Croft
Need to express myself with the products on their shelves
Wish the righteous crusties could find something else to be mad about
When will they realise that every little news coverage helps
I was more determined than ever to shop at Tesco when i saw the price of a large falafel meal at Cafe Kino
Not everyone can afford to eat elite, superior, organic cardboard
It's the frequent mugging, attacking and raping of targets, not the fucking supermarkets that bring your cultural headquarters to the slaughter
Fuck Better Foods
You're not better for me
I'm better than you
I'm fatter than you.
